Black Man In A White Coat by Dr. Damon Tweedy

This was honestly a great read! I highly recommend it to anyone. Dr. Damon Tweedy shares his experiences before, during, and after medical school and the many challenges black people face due to healthcare inequities.

Through his story, Dr. Tweedy provides reflections on his experience as a physician in medicine, the challenges he faces as a black man in medicine, and the multiple encounters he has with patients who are underserved.

There is so much to learn from this book as an aspiring doctor. There were so many notes I took as I read the entire book. It was moving and inspiring!

Relationship Goals by Pastor Michael Todd

Normally, I share books I have completed reading. I just started reading "Relationship Goals" and I am loving it so far, which is why I had to share it with you all.

Whether you are single, dating, engaged or married, this book is designed to reach anyone regardless of your relationship status. Not only does Pastor Michael Todd provide his experiences of dating, but offers wisdom in conjunction with Biblical scriptures.

It is filled with encouragement but also gives you the hard truth that you may not want to hear. I will be back for a more in-depth review, but I had to put you guys on and I hope you enjoy!!!

Stay tuned for next month's "Monthly Reads"!
